We’re sold the false idea that we can have it all, but turns out you can't have it all at the same time. So what do you want, right now? Each week I’ll ask a woman her top 10.
This week we hear from Kath, one of my oldest friends in Paris, who has some big transitions ahead and is currently in a state of reflection. We’ve spent many hours together in the kitchen at the Australian Embassy where she is the Executive Chef, and you can read about her experience on her wonderful Substack Culinary Wayfarer (it’s free, please subscribe!). If you’d like to get in touch with her for any cooking related collaborations or private catering in Paris you can email her at k_witbreuk@hotmail.com.
10 things Kath wants:
Anyone who knows me knows that all I want is peace, love and happiness – but I suspect we all want that!
For there to be more compassion and listening in the world.
To find a way to live in two countries successfully.
To see women in hospitality more, I know they are there, I just don’t see it enough.
To own a few chickens and have a pug and a vegetable garden in the country.
I want to be able to learn how to leave the past in the past and not overthink every last thing.
To be the best mentor, godparent and friend to all the children in my life.
To do something charitable with my cooking skills.
I want a fairy god mover to come to my house and pack up all of my possessions, so that I don’t have to!
I want to be able to be brave enough to embrace all that the future may hold.
I'm happy to join this What Women Want with The REAL Emily in Paris.
